My interest in radio began in the 70's listening to shortwave broadcast stations and public safety services on VHF and UHF. In September 2007 I earned my Technician license and assigned the call KI4ZSF. I upgraded to General in November 2007. In September 2008 I upgraded to Amateur Extra and changed my call sign to AD4WX. I am a member of ARES, a Skywarn trained observer and an ARRL VE. I am also one of the founding members of our local club, Decatur County Amateur Radio Club. The Amateur radio hobby has and continues to be a lot of fun and a great learning experience for me. 73 and good DX, David.
